Library Rules & Regulations
- All Students are permitted to borrow books from the Library.
- Strict and absolute silence must be observed in the library.
- All Students are not allowed to carry bags, plastic bags, water bottles, Tiffin’s inside the library. They should be left at the baggage counter.
- Mobile phone should be switch off in library.
- Members are strictly prohibited from taking the borrowed and stamped books again inside the stacking area.
- No reminders will be issued to individuals defaulters.
- Members should use the books with care. They are advised to examine the books when they borrow and if any book in found damaged. It should be brought to the notice of the library staff immediately. If they fail to do so, they will be responsible for any damage discover when it is returned to the library.
- Books borrowed must be returned or renewed on before the due date.
- Books will be reserved if there are no reservations.
- Books are required to be presented physically at the counter for renewal.
- For late return of books, overdue charges will be collected as per rules in force
- Absence from the college will not be allowed as an excuse for the delay in the returning the books.
- Keep a chair properly in Library
- The returned books shall not be reissued to the same person on the same day of return.
- If the due date falls on a holiday for the library, the next working day will be taken as the due date.
- If any book is taken out from the shelf, it should be placed back in its original place.
- Membership cards are not transferable.
- Under special circumstances, the librarian may refuse the issue of books or recall the books already issued from any member without assigning any reason thereof.
- Any kind of marking, underlining, clipping of books, periodicals is absolutely prohibited, readers shall be held responsible for any damage done to the book, periodicals belonging to the library and shall be required to replace such book, periodicals or pay the value thereof.
- If any book is lost or damaged by the member, he/she will be responsible to replace it with new copy or pay one and half charge of the original cost of the book along with overdue charge.
- Students can issue one book for one week at a time.
- For late submission per day Rs 5 will be charged for students.
- The borrower will be responsible for any loss or non-return of any books issued against his/her original or duplicate library member ID Card.
- A Duplicate library card will be issued on payment of Rs. 100/-
- Transfer certificate will be issued only after the production of no due certificate from the library or authorized permission of the higher authority.
- Journals, periodicals, magazines and reference books use is restricted in the library only.
- Usage of mobile phones, own head phone, laptop is not permitted inside the library.
- Library staff in not responsible for the loss of user’s belongings.
