Wiksate

OVERVIEW : Wiksate are a bunch of passionate and committed educationists, technologists and strategists who have come together to make a difference in the way social and informal learning can be captured, analysed, credited and showcased.

NPTEL

OVERVIEW : The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), a project funded by the Ministry of  Human Resource Development(MHRD), provides e-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Management and Humanities. This is a joint initiative by seven IITs and IISc Bangalore. Other selected premier institutions also act as Associate Partner Institutions.

NPTEL is a curriculum building exercise and is directed towards providing learning materials in science and engineering by adhering to the syllabi of All India Council for Technical Education and the slightly modified curricula of major affiliating Universities. It has developed curriculum based video courses and web-based e-courses targeting students and faculty of institutions offering UG engineering programs.

National Digital Library of India

OVERVIEW :The National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources that offers more than just search and browse capabilities to the learner community. The Ministry of Education, Government of India, sponsors and mentors it through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching are used to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with the least amount of effort and in the shortest amount of time. NDLI offers services tailored to specific user groups, such as Examination Preparatory for high school and college students and job seekers. Services are also available for researchers and general learners. The NDLI is intended to hold content in any language and to provide interface support for the ten most commonly used Indian languages. It is designed to support all academic levels, including researchers and life-long learners, as well as all disciplines, all popular types of access devices, and differently-abled students. It is intended to allow people to learn and prepare from best practises from around the world, as well as to enable researchers to conduct inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is created, run, and maintained by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

Virtual Laboratory

OVERVIEW : To provide remote-access to Labs in various disciplines of Science and Engineering. These Virtual Labs would cater to students at the undergraduate level, post graduate level as well as to research scholars.

To enthuse students to conduct experiments by arousing their curiosity. This would help them in learning basic and advanced concepts through remote experimentation.

To share costly equipment and resources, which are otherwise available to limited number of users due to constraints on time and geographical distances.
