Abstract               : Wireless fidelity is a technology used widely in wireless networkingandithas been increasingly used since last decade. It has its own benefits and its own set of limitations. Limitations such as RF- bandwidth, speed etcwhich are effected due to increase in the number of hosts. To overcome this problem scientists have come up with a new concept calledlight fidelity. Light fidelity is bidirectional, high speed and fully networked wireless communication, like Wi-Fi, using visible lightspectrum.It is wireless and uses visible light communication instead of radio frequency waves,part of optical wireless  communication technology, which carries comparatively more information than Wi-Fi.Future electric lights will be comprised of white light emitting diode.Whitelight emitting diodewith high power output are expected to serve in the next generation of lamps. An indoor visible data transmission system utilizing white led lights will be used not only for illuminating rooms but also for an optical wireless communication system. This system is suitable for private networks such as consumer communication networks. Li-Fi has been proposed as a solution to the RF-bandwidth limitations seen in Wi-Fi.Li-Fi is safe because it uses optical communication instead of radio waves. It is a reliable  and a better way for wireless networks.

Abstract               : In this project work it is discussed that how a gesture recognition system for alphabetical hand gestures is built. The main motive was to develop a system thatcan simplify the way that the normal human being interact with the deaf and dumppeople without the need of interpretation. This system also provides the easy wayof human’s interaction with computers. This system is designed using MATLABinstead of neural network. In this system Eigen vector and Eigen value techniquesonly in MATLAB are used. The basis of our method is a fast detection process toobtain the meaningful hand region from the whole image, which is able to dealwith a large number of hand gestures against different indoor backgrounds andlighting condition, and a recognition process that identifies the hand gestures fromthe images of the normalized hand. Experiments show that the system can achievea 99% recognition rate and is suitable for real-time applications.

We develop an intelligent multi sensor based security system that contains a fire fighting robot in our daily life. The destructive burnt cause by electrical is the highest source. It is because security system can’t detect abnormal and dangerous situation and notify us. Besides, user had difficulties to detect the small burnt cause by electrical appliances. User may take a late time to extinguish Sometimes tough fire extinguished for example spaces are hard to see. So, “Autonomous Fire Protection Robot With fire like finding the water source to extinguish fire when want to extinguish the fire. The fire difficulties to detect the small burnt area and location that is hard to be reach by the user Notification” design with extinguisher for the intelligent building to controlled by microcontroller PIC18F4550 and supported by autonomous board CYTRON SK40C board and another additional circuit. This robot equipped with 5 flame sensor where each sensors has its own function and commanded control by PIC18F4550. This robot will move to the fire source when the flame sensor detected the fire and it will send message to any phone of the GSM network through the modem connected to the programmable device. This robot also programmed to stop before the robot hit the flame. This robot also can extinguish fire at 45 degree for upper side and 45 degree for lower side. This robot implicated the function of finger to clip the fire extinguisher clipper.

Abstract               : The purpose of this project is to develop a wireless system to detect and maintain the attendance of a student. For, this the students ID (identification) card is tagged with an Radio-frequency identification (RFID) passive tag which is matched against the database and only finalized once his signature is verified using the biometric touch plate. The intimation  by a sms (short message service) is sent using the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) Modem of the same that is the student has reached the university or not on a daily basis. In a classroom a RFID transponder is installed. There will be a software on PC  through which the student, teacher and the guardians can view the status of attendance. During this process though the RFID of the student if not matched is not allowed to enter the class as he is late or any other student inside the class is allowed to leave the class. The class door opens only when the professor brings his RFID tag near the class door indicating the completion of class and the same procedure continues for every class.

We are developing the remote buttons in the android app by which we can control the robot motion with them. And in which we use DTMF and a mobile to interface controller and android. According to commands received from android the robot motion can be controlled. The consistent output of a robotic system along with quality and repeatability are unmatched. Pick and Place robots can be reprogrammable and tooling can be interchanged to provide for multiple applications.

Abstract               : The work aims to design a compact and conformal helical antenna system to meet the today’s requirement for wireless communication. Conventional antennas provide a sufficient amount of gain and bandwidth as per the design parameters and fabrication of the antenna. Thus the output of the antenna Depends on the Dimensions of the antenna. We need to achieve the desired results for the use of improvised and reduced dimensions for same. A Regular helical antenna operates in the normal mode if the power feed is given for its regular operation.  This functioning of the antenna can be changed by enclosing the antenna inside a conducting cavity. The cavity is made up of Aluminum or any PEC that can conduct electricity efficiently. Enclosing the cavity in such a way confines the transmission fields that the mode of operation of the antenna changes from normal mode to axial mode.This increases the directivity of the antenna thus increasing the gain of the antenna.Transmission bandwidth is also improved due to this .The operating band of our antenna is C band which has a bandwidth of 4-8 GHz, also our antenna can operate beyond C band that is it can transmit using other microwave frequency bandsupto 15 GHz.

Abstract               : Proposed method presents a strategy for fuzzy logic based robot navigation in uncertain environments by multisensory integration. The main idea of the study is to coordinate conflicts and competitions among multiple reactive behaviors efficiently by fuzzy sets and a rule base. To achieve this objective, an array of infrared sensors making a vision system is mounted on a mobile robot. The infrared sensors provide distance information between the robot and obstacles for behavior control of the mobile robot, while the vision system identifies some sub goals for determining a good motion direction to avoid robot trap in local region. The results show that the proposed strategy, by integrating infrared sensors and the vision system, can be efficiently applied to robot navigation in complex and uncertain environments by using different behaviors, such as avoiding obstacles, decelerating at curved and narrow roads, escaping from a U-shaped object, and moving to target. On the application point of view a inflammable gas detection sensor is interfaced to continuously sense the gas leakage in the environment. Buzzer gives an alert as soon as the gas is detected and robot stops moving to indicate the gas detection at specific location.

Abstract               : In our day to day life the telecommunication technology plays an important role. It has completely revolutionaries the way we communicate, especially long distance communication. Despite of all these advancement in the telecommunication field, the physically impaired people have no access for these technologies. So as a step to bridge the gap between the blind people and the technological advancement in the telecommunication field we decided to design a SMS system for them by interfacing Braille pad with the cell phone so that dual impaired person can have the access to the SMS system and through which they can take important notes. Here the user sends the SMS to the blind person’s mobile number which is connected to the microcontroller which reads the SMS using GSM module through the AT commands and then converts the letters of the SMS into the Braille language using the lookup table in its memory. With the help of 6 relays Microcontroller vibrates the Braille pad on which the blind person can read the SMS. For sending a SMS, the microcontroller converts the typed Braille letter on Braille pad to the English alphabets using the Lookup table. Loud speaker is also used for making the voice announcement..

Abstract               :  

In day-to- day life we hear about many Tamil fishermen being caught and put under Srilankan custody and even killed. The sea border between the countries is not easily identifiable, which is the main reason for this cross border cruelty. Here we have designed a system using embedded system which protects the fishermen by notifying the country border to them by using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global system for mobile communication (GSM). We use GPS receiver to find the current location of the fishing boat or vessel. Using GPS, we can find the current latitude and longitude values and is sent to the microcontroller unit. Then the controller unit finds the current location by comparing the present latitude and longitudinal values with the predefined value. Then from the result of the comparison, this system aware the fishermen that they are about to reach the nautical border. The area is divided into four zones- normal zone, warning zone, zone near to restricted zone and finally the restricted zone. If the boat is in normal area, then the LCD displays normal zone. Thus they can make it clear that the boat is in normal area. In case it moves further and reaches the warning zone, the LCD displays warning zone. If the fisherman ignores the warning or fail to see the display and move further, and if the boat enters the zone nearer to the restricted zone the alarm will turn on and the speed of the boat engine automatically gets controlled by 50%. If the fisherman did not take any reaction about the alarm and move further, then the boat will enter into the restricted zone, the alarm continues to beep as before, and once it touches the restricted zone, the boat engine gets off.

There are the expenses of buying and operating the machines, unexpected malfunctions and things to go wrong while in the air, and hackers that can get into the drone’s hardware. The losers here consist of militaries that do not have UAVs and pilots that want to do the missions the drones are taking over.

The possibility of spotting and recognizing the UAV is more in open field. To reduce this drones need a disguise too. To increase the surveillance and security drones are transformed into the body of animals and birds.

This bird can also be used to study the behavior and migration of birds in various parts more precisely without disturbing them. Thus it has both strategic as well as military applications making it a profitable product in market and to society.

On industrial production of large scale the cost and other maintenance expense can be reduced. Making it affordable under 10k price. Thus the drawbacks are overcome of drone.

The current scenario is that the vehicle needs to slow down at the toll collection area in order to pay the amount which leads to traffic problem and sometimes the toll collector does not collect the toll fee from the owner. So the proposed technique will maintain all the records of the toll collected as there is no physical cash involved in this technique.

Abstract               : Now-a-days there are perceptible road accidents occurring due to many reasons. Carelessness of driver is one of the reasons for accidents particularly during nights. The main objective of our project is to design a system which monitors the driver and acknowledges him if he was sleepy while he is driving a vehicle. This involves an embedded system which is a special purpose system in which the computer is completely encapsulated by or dedicated to the device or system it controls. The design and development of monitoring and alarming system is described in this paper. Traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of fatalities.An important indicator of survival rates after an accident is the time between the accident and when emergency medical personnel are dispatched to the accident location. By eliminating the time between when an accident occurs and when the first responders are dispatched to the scene decreases mortality rates, we can save lives. One approach to eliminating the delay between accident occurrence and first responder dispatch is to use in-vehicle automatic accident detection and notification systems, which sense when a traffic accident is likely to occur and immediately notify emergency occurred. These in-vehicle systems, however, are not available in all cars and are unaffordable to retrofit in older vehicles. In this project, such a system is described the main application of which is early accident detection. It can automatically detect traffic accidents using accelerometers an immediately notify a central emergency dispatch server after an accident. Along with the data it will send the number of the vehicle too. Here it is seen how a microcontroller, accelerometer and GSM connections can be used to provide situational awareness responders.

The objective of this project is to make a controller based model to overcome the problems related to road accidents.The aim of this project is to minimize the risk of accident and if any accident happens then this intelligence system take corresponding steps. This system follow some steps before the rider start his journey. Initially the system inside the bike check whether the rider placed helmet on his head or not, if he had placed helmet then the system checks for the presence of alcohol presence in the drivers exhaling air. If both conditions are met then onlythe bike will start.  If any accident occurs then the intelligence system sends the location details to the nearby police station as well as nearby hospital for the emergency service. Along with this, the system also sends a message about the incident to pre-defined mobile number as well.

Abstract               : This project aims at monitoring the oil temperature of a multiple transformers continuously and protects them from overheating. Since transformers are vital elements of the electric power transmission and distribution infrastructure, they need to be monitored to prevent any potential faults. Failures in a transformer can easily costs several million dollars to either repair or replace, and will also cause a loss of service to customers and revenue until the symptom is found and repaired.

We developed this project, which is relatively inexpensive to sense the temperature. Since the oil is present inside the transformer there is a necessity to develop a system which can sense the temperature of the oil inside the transformer. If temperature exceeds the limit (1st threshold level) then it will turned ON the exhaust fan for cooling purpose and also informs to the authorize person through SMS to predefined numbers and if temperature exceeds the second limit (2nd threshold level) then system will turned ON the circuit breaker and load will be trip with buzzer indication. This system also checks oil level inside the tank.

Abstract               : Present work is an in depth study to detect flames in video by processing the data captured by an ordinary camera. Previous vision based methods were based on color difference, motion detection of flame pixel and flame edge detection. This paper focuses on optimizing the flame detection by identifying gray cycle pixels nearby the flame, which is generated because of smoke and of spreading of fire pixel and the area spread of flame.  These techniques can be used to reduce false alarms along with fire  detection  methods . The novel system simulate the existing fire detection techniques with above given new techniques of fire  detection  and give optimized way to detect the fire in terms of less false alarms  by giving the accurate result of fire occurrence. The strength of using video in fire detection is the ability to monitor large and open spaces. The novel system also give the opportunity to adjust the system by applying different combination of fire detecting techniques which will help in implementation of system according to different sensitive area requirement

Abstract               : The idea of using voice activated technology for controlling the motion of the wheelchair is to prove that it can be a unique concept that would stand apart from the rest of the average projects. The use of this new technology in conjunction with a mechanical system in order to simplify everyday life would spark interest in an ever growing modern society. Many people with disabilities do not have the dexterity necessary to control a joystick on an electrical wheelchair. This can be a great for the quadriplegics who is permanently unable to move any of the arms or legs. They can use their wheelchair easier only using voice commands. The aim of this study is to implement an interesting application using small vocabulary word recognition system. The methodology adopted is based on grouping a microprocessor with a speech recognition development kit for isolated word from a dependent speaker. The resulting design is used to control a wheelchair for a handicapped person based on the vocal command. It therefore involves the recognition of isolated words from a limited vocabulary. In order to gain in time design, tests have shown that it would be better to choose a speech recognition kit and to adapt it to the application.

Abstract               : In today’s unsafe world it’s very difficult to keep our valuables safe. Especially when they are intransit. So we intend to improve the current security standards. In our project we intend to makefar more secure security vault. The multilayer security vault consists of three layers or threestages of security using a GPS module, a fingerprint scanner and a matrix keypad. The basicconcept of this project is for moving valuables such as money, jewellery, important papers anddocuments, arms or weapons etc from one place to another. This vault will have three layers ofsecurity system. The first is location based lock. It is a very unique system which at present noone offers. In this the destination coordinates (longitude & latitude) are feed into the systembefore locking the vault. Now the vault will open only after reaching destination it cannot beopened in between. The second layer is a bio metric fingerprint scanner. After reaching thedestination the system will ask for users fingerprint. Only authenticated persons fingerprint willmatch whose prints are earlier stored in the database. This will increase the security further. Thethird layer is the password. Once the location is reached and fingerprints are authenticated thesystem will ask for password. The user has to enter the password. If the password is matched thelock will open.

Abstract               :  The project “Passenger Bus Alert System for Easy Navigation for Blind” is based on speech recognition and global positioning system. The purpose of this project is to reduce the difficulties faced by the visually impaired people when taking city buses, using an interactive wireless communication system. The system comprises a user module and a bus module to establish a direct one-to-one connection using wireless technology. The desired bus that the blind want to take is notified to him with the help of speech recognition system. The blind takes the right bus parked in front of him and when the destination is reached it is indicated by means of the global positioning system. The interactive wireless communication aid system is a novel and low-cost device for assisting visually impaired people to use city buses.

Abstract               :      Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has helped many organizations to reduce cost. Nevertheless, there are challenges and issues associated with RFID adoption. The most common internal challenge for many organizations is justifying the investment and modification of processes. The focus of this project is to show the business value of RFID technology and its applications. The important issue is the security level of the whole office because it needs to be carefully differentiated. Dormitories and special research laboratories should benefit from higher levels of security than any other campuses. The key to the problem is represented by the new Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) which can support contactless cards with memory. The most important feature of the proposed system is the updating of access permission level at any time for the user based on the availability of that user. The data transfer from the reader to the database was done using wireless communication (RF communication. The data which is read by the reader is sent to the microcontroller. Using the current status of the access, the smart system is able to grant the permissions to the switch different devices according to the predefined rules. In turn it provides data security by disabling access to the unauthorized user and energy consumption management.

Abstract               : In the era of information technology, human tend to develop better and more convenient lifestyle. Nowadays, almost all the electronic devices are equipped with wireless technology. A wireless communication network has numerous advantages and becomes an important application. The enhancements provided by the wireless technology, gives the ease of control to the users.The Smart Ordering System introduced current and fast way to order food at an institute, offices or restaurants. The system uses a small keypad to place orders and the order made by inserting the code on the keypad menu. This code comes along with the menu. The signal will be delivered to the order by the RF technology, and it will automatically be displayed on the screen in the kitchen. It is an embedded system which is to be installed on every table in therestaurant. A keypad is provided on each of the table which is embedded with a microcontroller unit and RF transmitter on user side and a RF receiver and P.C on another side. Item name and cost is already programmed in the microcontroller.

Abstract               : The main objective of this work is to design and construct a microcomputer based system to control electric appliances such as light, fan, heater, washing machine, motor, TV, etc. The system is designed to assist and provide support in order to fulfill the needs of elderly and disabled in home. Also, the Talking home concept in the system improves the standard living at home.The main control system implements wireless Bluetooth technology to provide remote access from PC/laptop or smart phone. The design remains the existing electrical

switches and provides more safety control on the switches with low voltage activating .The switches status is synchronized in all the control system whereby every user interface indicates the real time existing switches status. The system intended to control electrical appliances and devices in house with relatively low cost design, user-friendly interface and ease of installation.The cell phone works as the remote control for home appliances. The system also gives you voice acknowledgement of the appliance. Home appliances are connected to the ADK (Accessory Development kit) and communication is established between the ADK (Accessory Development kit) and Android mobile device or tablet.The home appliances are connected to the input/output ports of the microcontroller(ARM 7) board and their status is passed to the ADK(Accessory Development kit).We would develop an authentication to the system for authorized person to access

home appliances. We are using a speech-to-text system.  A speech-to-text system can also improve system accessibility by providing data entry options for blind, deaf, or physically handicapped users.Home automation allows us to control household appliances like light, door, fan, AC etc. It also provides home security and emergency system to be activated. Talking Home  not  only refers  to  reduce  human  efforts  but  also  energy saving  and  time

Abstract               : The recent decades we have seen the increase in demand for reliable and clean form of electricity derived from renewable energy sources. One such example is solar power. The challenge remains to maximize the capture of the rays from the sun for conversion into electricity. The fabrication and installation of a solar panel mount with a dual-axis solar tracking controller is done in such a way that rays from the sun fall per pendicularly onto the solar panels which maximizes the capture of the rays by pointing the solar panels towards the sun and following its path across the sky. Solar panels are inclined at certain fixed angle which makes them able to harvest energy from sunlight for few hours only. Means the perpendicular incidence of sunlight remains for few hours of the day time. If the position of the solar panel can be changed with the incidence angle of sunlight then it is possible to absorb the maximum energy during day time. The problem of positioning of panel can be solved by dual axial system using servo motors which not only gives tilting of a plane but also moves in certain angle when sun cycle is changed due to climate change. Thus electricity and efficiency increased.

Abstract               :       The propose system is the Traffic Density Based Signal Management in Traffic System which deal with traffic load in each side of lane during high density traffic on road at specific time. Here we are considering the main scenario at time when the traffic is extended for, less no. of vehicles then signal activate for less number of time. If the traffic gets on increasing on other side of lane then, the problem with previous algorithm is that, the vehicles on other side those arrived first as compared to others have to wait. In previous they introduce equal size platoon. We are proposing such a system that deal with such kind of problem by automatically switching the signal by calculating the time at which the vehicles arrived at stop line. We first formulate the vehicular traffic signal control problem as a job scheduling problem on processors. In our system we switch the signal if the density of vehicle is high then the maximum time is allocated. In our system we are not decide the platoon length or size. Our system show result under light medium & heavy traffic.

These Antennas Are Relatively Easy To Manufacture Because Of Their Simple Planar Configuration And The Compact Structure. They Are Light In Weight And Have The Capability To Be Integrated With Other Microwave Circuits. The Volume Constraints, Often Combined With Large Bandwidth And High Efficiency Specifications, Make The Antenna Design A Challenging Task.

Many Techniques Such As Fractal-Shapes, Reactive Loads,Stacked Elements, Shorting Pins, Slots On The Ground Plane, And Pifa Are Being Used To Design Multiband Mpas.Genetic Algorithm (Ga) Is A Powerful Optimization Technique That Has Been Shown To Be Useful In A Wide Area Of Electromagnetics. Ga Is Applied To Design Broadband, Multiband And Miniature Mpas. It Is A Robust, Stochastic-Based Search Method, Which Can Handle The Common Characteristics Of Electromagnetic Optimization Problems That Are Not Readily Handled By Other Traditional Optimization Methods.

Abstract               : The technological development in Wireless Sensor Networks made it possible to use in monitoring and control of greenhouse parameter in precision agriculture. In last decades there have been tremendous advancements in technology for agriculture and growth of final yield.

Due to uneven natural distribution of rain water it is very crucial for farmers to monitor and control the equal distribution of water to all crops in the whole farm or as per the requirement of the crop.

There is no ideal irrigation method available which may be suitable for all weather conditions, soil structure and variety of crops cultures. Green house technology may be the best solution for this solution. All the parameters of greenhouse require a detailed analysis in order to choose the correct method.

It is observed that farmers have to bear huge financial loss because of wrong prediction of weather and incorrect irrigation method to crops. In this contest with the evolution in wireless sensor technologies and miniaturized sensor devices, it is possible to uses them for automatic environment monitoring and controlling the parameters of greenhouse, for Precision Agriculture (PA) application.
