What is the scope of Civil Engineering?

It is a multidisciplinary Branch of Engineering which deals with Construction, designing, building, maintenance and Research &development of Buildings, bridges, dams, reservoirs, railways, airports, etc.A Civil Engineer can work at a construction site, consultancy firm, take up higher studies (up to Ph.D.) or appear for Graduate Level Government competitive Examinations (MPSC, UPSC, SSC, etc.), try for Defence and serve the Nation, or even take up teaching as their profession.

What are the research opportunities for this program?

Civil Engineering has immense scope for research works through Masters in Technology, Masters in Engineering, Masters in Science and Ph.D. programs, both, in India as well as abroad.

Is there a scope for internship?

Yes. Many companies like Larsen & Toubro, Hiranandani, etc. and Government Organizations such as ONGC offer internship to Graduate students.
