ENGINEERS DAY CELEBRATION  15th September, 2017

Engineering is the art of organizing and directing men and controlling the forces and materials of nature for the benefits of human race. The 15th of September is regarded as the Engineers Day in India, as a tribute to one of the first and the finest engineers India has produced, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.

On this day, a small cake cutting ceremony was held by students followed by a short presentation, student’s speech and debate competition. The activities where organized at department level. Students showed active participation in all the activities organized.

Engineering is not merely knowing and being knowledgeable; engineering is not merely analysis; engineering is not merely the possession of the capacity to get elegant solutions to non-existent engineering problems; engineering is practicing the art of the organized forcing of technological change. Engineers operate at the interface between science and society. To identify the great works done by our hard working engineers each year 15th September is celebrated as Engineers’ Day marking the birth day of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, recognizing his contributions in the field of hydel energy in India.

On this occasion, a cake cutting ceremony was held which was attended by every faculty of Computer Department. The Department also organized various events like Debate Competition at individual class level followed by Ad-Mad Competition. Students showed active participation in the events organized.

India is celebrating Engineers Day, every year on September 15 to mark the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.  Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya was a noted Indian Engineer of all times. He was also honoured with India’s highest honour Bhata Ratna in 1955.

On this day, students made good arrangements which included cake cutting ceremony followed by a short video. Few students gave nice speech highlighting the significance of the day and quiz competition followed it. The activities where organized at department level. Students showed active interest.

In India, September 15 is celebrated as Engineers Day every year in remembrance of the birthday of the legendary engineer Sir M. Visvesvaraya (1861-1962). His works have been recognized internationally for his intellectual prowess in harnessing water resources.

On this occasion, a small cake cutting ceremony was held and students felicitated teachers with bouquets and chocolates as a token of respect. The activities were organized at department level which included quiz competition and debate completion. All students participated enthusiastically. The event overall was great success

The Engineer’s Day is celebrated to appreciate the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya who was born on September 15. India has marked September 15 as the National Engineer’s Day. This is to appreciate the contributions of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and he was a Bharat Ratna Awardee.  To remember his remarkable contributions, we (Indians) celebrate engineer’s days on his birthday (September 15th of the every year).

On this day, a small cake cutting ceremony was held and students felicitated teachers with bouquets as a token of respect. The activities where organized at department level which included quiz competition and debate completion preceded by a short video. All students participated actively. The event overall was great fun and was a huge success.

Teachers Day

Teacher_day

Teachers plays major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. Teacher’s day is celebrated to show students acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put by teachers towards students development.

Teacher’s day at Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Engineering was celebrated on 5th September, 2016. All teachers were invited for a grand programme organized by students. It all started at 01.00pm with a ‘sarswati vandana’. The program included dance, skit, and song performed by the students. The collage band played song from the Bollywood movies, all the teachers sang along with the band. Teachers got very delighted by the programme organized for them.

The event was concluded by the thanksgiving speech by HOD. All in all, it was celebration mode for everyone.

Teacher’s Day is celebrated with great enthusiasm in many parts of the world. The day is dedicated to teachers, who play a prominent role in the life of their students. The teachers act as the guide for life, show the path towards success and enrich the personality of their disciples by imparting ethical and academic knowledge. They bring out the untamed talents of their students and sharpen it in order to bring out the best results.

At Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Engineering, we celebrated this remarkable day with great enthusiasm on 5th September, 2015. The event was held in seminar hall at 1.30 pm. It was arranged by the student coordinators from all the departments. College Principal, Dr. S Ram Reddy, all the faculties and students were present for the celebration. The celebration started with Ganesh Vandana followed by few dance performances. Principal Sir gave very fun filled speech for teachers and students. Students arranged different games for faculties including Spelling Bee, Technical Quiz, Dumb Charades etc.

The celebration was concluded by cutting cake and dancing followed by thanksgiving speech. All the faculties and students enjoyed the celebration.

“The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes, and inspires his listener with the wish to teach himself.”

In India 5th September is celebrated as Teaches”” Day as a mark of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education, and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, President of India and above all a Teacher.

When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the President of India in 1962, he was approached by some of his students and friends and requested him to allow them to celebrate 5th September, his “Birthday”. In reply, Dr.Radhakrishnan said, “Instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 is observed as Teachers”” Day”. The request showed Dr.Radhakrishnan””s love for the teaching profession. From then onwards, the day has been observed as Teachers”” Day in India.

We celebrated this day at our college on Friday, 5th September, 2014. The event was held in Seminar Hall at 3.00 pm. The event was inaugurated by our beloved Principal, Dr. S Ram Reddy. Student coordinators handle the entire event and made it memorable for all the teachers. A special video showing memories of entire year was prepared by the students for the teachers. Students arranged fun games such as Musical Chair, Antakshari etc. for the teachers.

Overall the event was fun filled and enjoyed by all the faculties and students. It was concluded by the thanksgiving speech delivered by the students.

Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future. We can never thank teachers enough for their immense contribution in a student’s life. Teacher’s Day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by our teachers towards our development.

Teacher’s day at Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Engineering was celebrated on 5th September, 2013. It started at 02.30 pm in seminar hall. The event was inaugurated by honourable Principal, Dr. S ram Reddy. All the faculties from all the departments were present for the celebration. Principal Sirdelivered a motivational speech for all the faculties and students. Students had arranged different games for faculties including Musical Quiz, Extempore etc.

The event was concluded by the thanksgiving speech and playing a special song for faculties. All the faculties and students registered a positive feedback about entire event.
